We offer free lesson plans for teachers and for parents who home school their children. For the latest Free Lesson Plans for Teachers, check out the CATEGORY PAGE. From the category page, you will see lesson plans as they are posted chronologically. Most of the lesson plans have two facets. The first will concern essential learning objectives of a particular subject. For example, the English lesson plans will may have a focus on a literary genre, or an element of a genre. These may include, characterization, point of view, irony, figurative language, etc.

The second component will be more specific and require that the broader concept be applied to a particular work or topic. I mention this to encourage teachers to browse the lesson plans with the understanding that the general focus of the lesson can be applied to what is being currently taught in their classroom.

I would also suggest that if you are looking for something specific, that you use the search tool that you find on this page as well as in the right sidebar of every page. Simply select the option which restricts the search result to the pages found on this site, and enter the desired keyword. If I get feedback that indicates that the results aren’t narrow enough, I will find some other plugin or widget to meet this need.

This is truly a free site, aside from the Google adsense listings. So consider donating a small amount to help keep this going. The reality is that as a teacher (and I’m sure my colleagues know), I have extra jobs such as tutoring or teaching at a local college as an adjunct professor. A small donation will allow me to cut a few of those hours so I can dedicate it to the growth of this site and the addition of relevant content.
