Blogging!

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I have just recently started to blog consistently and finally spent some money on web hosting through Yahoo! Small Business. My reasons for undertaking this hobby (and for me, it is just that, a hobby) for a couple of reasons. Not the least of which is that I love to write! From an early age, the image of sitting at a typewriter (oops, update to keyboard) and recreating the emotional experiences I have enjoyed from reading great books, has remain a consistent dream. Although I have yet to be published in print, I have found that blogging provides some instant gratification until that time. Seeing a couple of my articles on Helium motivated me to write more, and that is a good thing.
Of course, once I started, i quickly discovered that blogging is much more than “write-edit-click send”, particularly if you actually want people to see what it is that have written. Soon, I was introduced to Blogspot, Wordpress, and other apps to frame my thoughts. Learning to use them was and is a challenge to me!
Then other concepts began to reveal themselves as I spent more time with this hobby.

Terms Like SEO, SEM, KEI, Monetization, niche blogs, adsense…

Did I say monetizing? MMMM….sweet stories of carpenter making six figures from blogs instructing how to install a light bulb…

I digress…

Anyway, in the pursuit of my hobby, I’ve come across hundreds of sites relating to the art of the blog, some good, some just good at website optimization, but most with at least a kernel of knowledge.

So I have compiled my thoughts what I think are useful blogging blogs, for one reason or another, and I can say that somewhere on these pages you will be pointed to information to make your blog everything you want it to be. So check out the blogging category

P.S. The one rule that seems to be true for regular folk like myself, is blog ‘cuz you are interested in what you are blogging about. If you do it just for money, you will find that you are either very lucky, very disappointed, or seduced to the dark side of black hat techniques (which may or may not accomplish your goals).
